The space sector meets in Bremen

International Astronautical Congress has opened its doors at the at the Bremen Exhibition Center

One of the most important events on the global space scene kicks-off with record attendance. From Monday to Friday, 1 to 5 October 2018, more experts from industry, research and space agencies will meet than ever before at the International Astronautical Congress 2018 (IAC 2018) located at the Bremen Exhibition & Conference Center. Around 6200 participants are expected to attend and take part in the programme that includes over 2,000 lectures. At this year's particularly large trade exhibition, around 140 organisations, associations and companies will be presenting their activities to the international audience, who have travelled to Bremen from more than 60 countries. On Wednesday, 3 October, the general public is invited to the "Public Day." One of the highlights will be a live-transmission to the International Space Station (ISS). During the transmission, the astronaut Alexander Gerst, who is currently working aboard the space station, will be appointed the first German commander of the ISS from 4:10 p.m. onwards. more

The International Astronautical Congress 2018 opens its doors to the public

Outer space. Vast expanses of the universe...over 4,500 experts will meet during the International Astronautical Congress 2018 (IAC 2018) to discuss the immense scope of the various space-related disciplines. Interested members of the public are also invited. On 3rd October, German Unity Day, the conference organizers invite you to the „Public Day“. Visitors will meet and experience high-level representatives from science, politics, and industry, and experience a live-call to the International Space Station ISS. more

SMALL SATS – INVOLVING EVERYONE THROUGH THEIR APPLICATIONS

The 69th International Astronautical Congress – IAC 2018 brings together another edition of the Next Generation Plenary. Wednesday 3 October 2018, 08:30 – 09:30 in the Bremen Conference Center – DLR Hall 6 panelists from around the world that are making an impact will address how they expect to advance knowledge, improve conditions, protect life and property, and increase prosperity for an expanding portion of the global population through the use of Small Sats. more

World’s Premier Global Space Event attracts the Who is Who of Space
New insights and developments in astronomy, space business and women in aerospace: these are just three of well over 2,000 topics, that are to feature at the 2018 International Astronautical Congress (IAC). Around 4,500 delegates from 90 countries are expected to gather at the Bremen Exhibition Centre between Monday, October 1st and Friday, October 5th, 2018 for the world's largest space congress. Amongst them: policy, business and science leaders. Up until Saturday, June 30, the congress organizers are granting an early bird discount. more
